Concern sparks Kildare roundabout review
Kildare County Council has agreed to review signage and road markings at the Earls Court roundabout in Kill after safety concerns were raised.
At the most recent meeting of Naas Municipal District, cllr Fintan Brett asked whether the council plans to improve signage at the Earls Court roundabout in Kill because of safety concerns.
Acting municipal district engineer Yasir Khan issued the local authority’s written response, saying that the council has not yet decided whether more signs are needed at the roundabout, but has agreed to review the junction and consider improvements if they are found to be necessary.
Cllr Brett told the meeting that he has been getting complaints from people about misuse of the roundabout.
He said it is a dangerous situation and noted its proximity to a school, describing it as a “very busy” area.
