Craft and Food Market returns to Taste of Kildare

THE Kildare Craft and Food Market, which will return as part of Taste of Kildare on 15 and 16 August.
Representatives from Kildare County Council’s Local Enterprise Office joined a number of this year’s Flavours of Kildare exhibitors to officially launch the market ahead of the festival held at Naas Racecourse.
In attendance at the launch were Cathaoirleach of Kildare County Council, Cllr Tim Durkan; Chief Executive of Kildare County Council, Sonya Kavanagh; Head of Economic Development, Enterprise, Retail and Tourism, Jacqui McNabb; and Chloe McGrory of Into Kildare.
The Flavours of Kildare Craft and Food Market will once again showcase some of the county’s finest artisan food producers, makers and craftspeople, giving visitors the opportunity to discover locally produced food, drink and handmade products while meeting the people behind the businesses.
Jacqui McNabb, head of economic development, enterprise, retail and tourism with Kildare County Council, said:
“The Flavours of Kildare market celebrates the quality, creativity and innovation of our local food and craft businesses. It provides a valuable platform for producers to showcase their products, connect with new customers and demonstrate the strength of Kildare’s growing artisan sector. We are delighted to once again partner with Taste of Kildare to bring this fantastic showcase to the festival.”
This year’s food exhibitors include Aisling’s Taste of Home, Beara Bitters, Ernie’s at Shackletons, Firecastle, Fused by Fiona, Grab and Grow, Grill Shack, Jo’s Chocolates, Peake Culinary, Stinky & Scorchy, Suckers Lollipops, Taste of Goodness, Typo Coffee and Wine Station X. Craft exhibitors include Curragh Craft, Heirlooms by Em, Izubee, Aurum Jewellery, Maiden Jewels, Maura McDonnell, Nina Patterson and Sarah Fused Glass.
Taste of Kildare takes place on Saturday 15 August and Sunday 16 August.
