Cyclist (30s) seriously injured after crash in Kilkenny

A cyclist in his 30s has been seriously injured following a crash in Kilkenny.
The incident between a car and a cyclist happened shortly after 5:30 pm on Wednesday at Loughmacask on the Tullaroan Road.
The man was taken to St. Luke’s General Hospital Carlow Kilkenny for treatment of serious injuries.
The road has since reopened following a forensic examination, and Garda investigations are continuing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling on the L100 Tullaroan Road, Kilkenny, Co. Kilkenny between 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Wednesday 24th June 2026 and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
