Driver speeding 160kph on Kildare motorway

Sun’s out, speed’s out. Kildare gardaí detected some incredibly fast speeds on the M9 in Kildare recently.
In a social media post, gardaí outlined four instances of dangerous speeding, including one driver who was travelling an incredible 160kph in the 120kph motorway.
Two other drivers were travelling 152 and 150kph respectively and a fourth was driving only a slightly more pedestrian 146kph.
All the drivers were hit with a €120 FCPN and three penalty points.
“Think twice before putting the foot down. Arrive alive,” say gardaí.
Fortunately, after a terrible year on Kildare's roads in 2024, no road fatalities have been recorded in the county this year.
