Like their counterparts across the county, outgoing sixth-year students at Kildare Town Community School (KTCS) are embarking on various paths after receiving their Leaving Cert results last Friday.

Principal John Hayes said that on behalf of the KTCS community, he would like to congratulate their students on their “excellent” results.

“We are very proud of them and delighted with their success. This year’s group was directly impacted by Covid in their junior years and it is a testament to each of their determination and resilience to have come through so successfully today,” he said.

“I would like to acknowledge the support given by their families to help them reach this milestone. In KTCS we have a dedicated and supportive staff of teachers, SNAs, clerical and caretaking who consistently go beyond expectations to support and provide opportunities for students to reach their potential.

“We are delighted with the outstanding results in Irish, Maths and English as well as a variety of subjects like Art and Construction Studies. Congratulations to Alex Moran on 613 points including a H1 in Maths. We are also delighted to see our LCA students receive Distinctions today. This year was also the first year Computer Science was examined in KTCS.

“There was a lovely celebration in the school today and we wish every student every success in the days ahead.”
