Fire service responds after car hits pedestrian near Athy

A ROAD traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian occurred yesterday evening on the approach to Athy town.

The fire service attended the scene, and the road was blocked to motorists at approximately 6.30pm on Sunday, 30 November.

The pedestrian was quickly transported to hospital, where they are being treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
