Brian Flanagan names the same starting 15 for Saturday evening’s visit of Derry to Cedral St Conleths that started last time out in the impressive win over Offaly but it is among the substitutes bench where the intrigue lies.
Darragh Kirwan, James McGrath and Jack McKevitt are all named in a matchday squad for the first time this year, while Niall Flynn makes his first appearance since the opening O’Byrne Cup tie against Wexford in Enniscorthy and he could be set for his first League appearance since March 2023. Aaron O’Neill, who last played in goal for Kildare in June 2022 against Mayo and who has since featured outfield, is named as the back up goalkeeper.
