A MAN who owns an airfield and allegedly threatened to shoot his brother before hitting him with his SUV, appeared before Athy District Court last week.
Ian Valentine (72) of Kilrush, Narraghmore appeared briefly in Athy District Court last week (25 November) to learn the state did not have his book of evidence completed yet.
Mr Valentine is charged with endangerment and assault causing harm at the airfield in Kilrush on 4 February 2024.
“Mr Valentine has a yard at the airfield, and his brother had property in the yard,” said Sergeant Ruth Coleman.
“They allegedly had an altercation, he threatened to shoot him, then drove his jeep at him, and hit his hip,” she said.
“We own an airfield, and we lease offices to this man,” said a solicitor for Mr Valentine.
After hearing a book of evidence was not yet ready, Judge Desmond Zaidan remanded the defendant on continuing bail until 1 March.
