The Clane girls showcased their teamwork and community spirit

A Kildare camogie team swapped the pitch for pew when they took to the field for a GAA match before getting togged out for a special mass.

Well done to the Clane U9 Camogie girls on a truly remarkable morning that showcased not only their sporting talent but also their fantastic teamwork, commitment, and spirit!

At 10am on Sunday morning, the Clane girls took to the pitch against an equally strong and determined Naas side. Both teams demonstrated an impressive level of skill, energy, and sportsmanship, making for a highly enjoyable and competitive match.

The determination on display, combined with the girls’ teamwork and enthusiasm, was a credit to their coaches, families, and clubs.

What makes the achievement even more special is what followed. In a wonderful example of organisation, dedication, and community spirit, the girls seamlessly transitioned from the pitch to the pew — making it back in time for 11.30am Mass. This was no small feat and speaks volumes about their commitment both on and off the field.

A sincere thank you to Fr Paul of Clane and Rathcoffey Parish for his inviting Scoil Bhride Communion Class to Mass in Clane Church on Sunday morning.

It was fantastic to see the U9 camogie and football girls, alongside the Communion class of Scoil Bhríde, Clane, come together and share in such an important occasion.

It was a morning that truly highlighted the very best of community, teamwork, and young talent. Well done to everyone involved — a brilliant achievement and a proud moment for Clane!
