KILDARE graduates were among those celebration at the South East Technological University’s (SETU) annual conferring ceremonies last week. They were among nearly 3,600 graduates receiving their honours across campuses in Waterford, Carlow, and Wexford this week. The ceremonies mark one of the most special events in the university calendar.

It is a time to recognise the hard work, dedication, and resilience of SETU students whose commitment to their academic careers and student life has culminated in this occasion.

Addressing graduates, Professor Veronica Campbell, SETU President, congratulated the University’s graduating classes.

She said, “SETU’s conferring ceremonies are a celebration of achievement and a reflection of the transformative power of education. Our graduates embody the best of SETU. They are people of knowledge, character, and compassion who will continue to shape a better and fairer world. I encourage you to carry forward SETU’s ethos of empathy, leadership, and service. We wish you every success as you move into the next chapter of your lives.”

Prof Campbell also extended warm thanks to the families and friends of graduates, acknowledging their unwavering support and encouragement in helping graduates to reach this milestone. She also expressed her thanks to the University’s academic and professional staff for their role in supporting students to realise their potential.
