Kildare grandmother dies in road collision

A Kildare grandmother died in a road collision last week in Co Mayo.
Lizy Abraham Saju of Kill died on 8 August following a collision on the N59 in Newport Co Mayo involving two vehicles.
She was the female passenger in one of the vehicles and was seriously injured during the collision. She was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
Lizy was working in Allenfield Nursing Homes.
Lizy had an impressive CV and was formerly a member of the Indian Army and worked in various medical facilities including hospitals and nursing homes.
She was the beloved wife of Saju Varghese, loving mother of Edwin and Dhivya, a much-loved grandmother of four children.
Lizy will repose in Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Saturday her funeral service and repose will take place on Sunday in St Mary’s College Chapel, Rathmines with Funeral Service at 1pm and reposing from 2pm to 4pm and afterwards for repatriation to her home in Kerala, India.
