Kildare man who allegedly gave his girlfriend a black eye is sent forward to circuit court

A MAN appeared before Naas District Court for punching his girlfriend in the face causing blurred vision and a heavily bruised eye.
33-year-old Credo Kingdila with an address at 14 Ryevale lawns, Leixlip, Kildare appeared in court on two counts of assault against the woman who sustained significant bruising to the eye as well as blurred vision as a result of violence against her on March 23, 2024 at an address in Maynooth.
The woman has since recovered fully from her injuries.
A member of An Garda Síochána giving evidence told the court that when apprehended by gardaí Mr Kingdila told them:
“Yeah, that’s not me, man.”
Visiting Judge, Her Honour Miriam Walsh was presented with photo evidence of the woman’s injuries and accepted jurisdiction on the matter before her.
Mr Kingdila was then instructed to remand in custody until his hearing in Naas Circuit Court on October 7, 2025.
