Kildare opens Book of Condolence for Glen Hansard

A Book of Condolence is now open for members of the public who wish to express their condolences to the family of Celbridge resident Glen Hansard following his tragic death in the early hours of Wednesday morning (29 July).

The Cathaoirleach of the County of Kildare, Cllr Tim Durkan said: "I was shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Glen Hansard. On behalf of Kildare County Council, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends and fellow musicians on their tragic loss."

The Book of Condolence will be available for signing at the offices of Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 X77F during normal opening hours until 12 August.

Messages of sympathy may also be submitted online at ‘Book of Condolence - Kildare County Council’.

All online messages of sympathy will be printed and presented in a Book of Condolence to the family of the late Glen Hansard.
