TICKETS are now on sale for the fabulous RHSI Garden Show at Russborough House, Blessington to be held on Sunday next, 18 May - see www.russborough.ie for details.

In association with this event, the KWWSPCA is hosting a Dog Show, which includes a Dog Agility Course, called “The Wild Tails Dog Show”.

These are fun events and every type of dog is welcome, especially rescue dogs. The agility course will start at 2pm and the dog show will start at 2.30pm.

There is no need to book in advance, you’ll find us in the walled garden section.

There are some small charges should you wish to enter your dog in a competition class but there is no charge for your dog to try out the dog agility course.

This week, we introduce you to Daisy, one of the dogs at our Shelter waiting for a forever home. She is a young female lurcher thought to be no more than two years of age. Daisy is everyone’s friend, absolutely adores human company and will greet you with a waist-high hug as she then enjoys being petted and told “She’s a lovely girl”.

However, Daisy is not as keen on canine company and will be quite selective as to whom she’ll greet. For this reason, we are looking for a home where she’ll be the only dog and get to enjoy all the attention that she so loves.

Daisy is great on the lead and loves her walks. She enjoys a good run around our garden but, like all lurchers, she loves a nice couch too.

Daisy has been spayed, is microchipped 981098108842269 and vaccinated. Her full details and photos can be seen on the ‘Adopt a Dog’ section of our website www.kwwspca.ie along with all our other dogs currently in need of homes.
