McLoughlin's in Newbridge

The Newbridge oil company – JH McLoughlin – has re-applied to Kildare for the temporary retention of seven mobile homes at a site just off the Moorefield Road, opposite St Patrick’s Church.

The seven homes are located behind the adjacent Baywood Villa and Dromgowna House, with four behind the former and three behind the latter, and are believed to have been installed in 2019.

An eighth home – previously situated behind Dromgowna – is in the process of being removed, and “is not proposed to be temporarily retained”.

At this early stage of the application, there is no indication as to how long the McLoughlin family – who own both locations – intend to retain the mobile homes.

All seven are 2-bed, 2-bath units, complete with a small domestic shed for laundry.

All are double glazed, with a winter insulation pack, and come with a gas-fired central heating system.

The original retention application was made on 3 July, but returned as ‘incomplete’ due to some technical omissions.
