A recent Studyclix survey has revealed some worries of Kildare students

A SURVEY revealed Kildare student’s fears about the future of the country.

The Studyclix survey revealed a lack of optimism among students that the housing crisis will alleviate in the coming years, with 68 per cent in Kildare believing they will not be able to afford a house in their home county in the future. 

The survey also found that students are factoring housing availability into their plans for third-level education with 64 per cent of Kildare students planning to stay at home while studying.

Emigration was found to be a viable option for just over half of Kildare students, with 51 per cent saying they were likely to move abroad after university. 

Cost of living was pinpointed as a major factor with 37 per cent of Kildare students mentioning it as a reason for emigration. 

The findings of this survey shows that the majority of Kildare students worry for their future in Ireland, with half of them opting to go elsewhere.
