Kildare teen laid to rest following road collision

A BELOVED teenager who died in a road collision last week in north Kildare was laid to rest today.

Jamie Branagan (19) of Oldtown Mill, Celbridge died following a single-vehicle collision on the Clane Road in Celbridge on Tuesday night 6 August.

Jamie is survived by his heartbroken parents Joe and Sabrina, brother Killian, grandfathers Jimmy and Barney, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, work colleagues in the ESB, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Work colleagues paid tribute to Jamie saying he had a bright future ahead of him.

Jamie is pre-deceased by his beloved grandparents late Ann Branagan and Esther Williams and his dear friend Alex Helps who died two years ago after being knocked down by a car.

Funeral mass took place at St Patrick's Church, Celbridge on Monday with burial in Palmerstown Cemetery.
