Josh O’Donoghue spoke to Pat Costello after Johnstownbridge’s 2-16 to 0-11 win over Allenwood, coupled with Aaron Browne’s late winner for Celbridge against Clane, secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship.
It is the eighth time in nine years that the club have reached the last eight, but having lost each of their previous seven quarter-finals, O’Donoghue hopes Johnstownbridge can finally break new ground this year.
