Man (70s) dies after being hit by car

A man in his 70s has died after being hit by a car in Foxrock, Dublin 18.
The single vehicle collision occurred on the N11, Foxrock, Dublin 18, on Monday at around 6.45pm.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision, which involved a car and a pedestrian.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner has been notified, and the man's body has been removed to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
No other injuries were reported.
The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 6.30pm and 7pm on Monday have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
