Moorefield were most convincing winners over a Kilcock side who never reached the same tempo as their last game against Clane. Moorefield's victory was based on an opening 20 minutes that yielded nine points without reply. A goal from Evan O'Brien eight minutes before the break left Moorefield with a healthy ten point lead after 30 minutes.
Mark Murray converted an opening minute point to set the Moors on their way.Aaron Masterson,Jason Phillips, from a mark and Eoin Meehan soon made it four.James Murray had time to get forward from centre back and when O Brien and Murray added their seconds Moorefield were moving out of sight. Sean O'Sullivan with two frees and one from Jason Gibbons was all that Kilcock could offer in the opening half. O'Brien's late goal just consolidated Moorefield's superiority.
Kilcock added two points after the restart but Moorefield quickly added a second goal to put an end to any hopes of a Kilcock revival. Eoin Meehan and Kevin Murnaghan combined to set up Mark Murray for a simple tap home.
Over the closing seven minutes Moorefield outscored Kilcock by four points to three to see out a comfortable 2-18 to 0-11 win.
