Mother gets court order out against three daughters at Kildare court

Athy courthouse
A MOTHER was granted three separate protection orders against her three adult daughters after telling the judge “they abuse me day and night”.
The woman who can’t be named for legal reasons appeared at a closed sitting of Athy District Court last week to make her ex parte (one side represented) appeal.
“My daughters are giving me grief … they abuse me day and night calling me all sorts of names, and together they gang up on me,” she testified.
“I had to call the guards on Saturday night. This has been going on since my husband passed away,” she told Judge Desmond Zaidan.
“They were always kind of hard work … they laugh at me, and I’ve asked them to leave.
“One of them has a boyfriend living there, and I’ve asked him to leave as well.
“They tell lies about me.
“The Superintendent rang me last night to see if I was alright,” she said.
“I’ll grant you an interim orotection order against all three,” said the judge and adjourned the case until 9 March for a full hearing of all parties.
