Petition for hourly train service to Athy needs a few more signatures

A LOCAL campaign calling for an hourly train service to Athy is gaining strong momentum, with nearly 2000 signatures already backing the petition.
The initiative, backed by Kildare South TD Mark Wall, urges Irish Rail and government officials to improve transport links to the growing commuter town.
Supporters say more frequent train services are vital for commuters, students, and families who rely on public transport.
“We are very close to hitting 2,000 signatures on my petition for an hourly train service for Athy,” Deputy Wall said.
“I need your help to get there—please sign the petition if you haven't already and make sure to share it as much as you can.”
