Possible food and drink offering for Kildare park
Kerdiffstown Park
Refreshments are to be made available at Kerdiffstown Park for those using the amenity, once Kildare County Council finds a suitable provider of the service.
The news comes after local cllr Fintan Brett asked if Kildare County Council (KCC) could confirm if tenders have been issued for the provision of "refreshments" in the park at the most recent meeting of Naas Municipal District.
A report issued by acting senior parks and landscaping officer at Kildare County Council Simon Wallace stated: “A tender for concessions will form part of the 2026 works programme.”
Cllr Brett accepted the report.
The park – which is in close proximity to Naas, Sallins, Johnstown and Kill - was opened in 2024 after being transformed from a landfill site into a public amenity.
The park opened at a final cost of €66 million, with KCC spending €26 million after taking over the site in 2015.
