Premier League winner Stam completes Legends line up to face Allenwood
Allenwood Celtic team captains to take on the Premier League Legends X1 - David "Sox" Coyne, Joe O'Rourke, Lisa Moore and Darren O'Shea
It may have been a case of saving the best until last as Allenwood Celtic announced the final Premier League legend to join the team who are coming to play in the ‘Legends in the Wood’ event in Allenwood on Saturday 23 May.
Three-time Premier League winner Jaap Stam is widely remembered as one of the finest centre backs of the Premier League era and was rock that Man Utd’s treble winning season in 1998/99 was built on.

The 67-time capped Dutch international, who also played in a Champions League final for AC Milan, completes the list of former Premier League stars who will play in the game.

Allenwood Celtic have also announced their team who will compete in the match. They will split their squad, a mix of current players and former club legends, in four and they will each play a quarter. Their teams will be captained by: David "Sox" Coyne (Club egend at Allenwood Celtic and a top goal scorer at his peak and a current coach of the club’s Under 9s). Joe O'Rourke (One of the founding members of the club and somebody who has given 35 years of service to the club in a variety of roles), Lisa Moore (One of the best female players in the club’s history, current U17s coach and the Club's Assistant Secretary) and Darren O'Shea (Returning Allenwood Legend and the man charged with get the Allenwood Celtic team fit for match day).
