Sadness as long-standing Athy business to close

A LONG-established business in Athy town centre has sadly announced its closure.
Healthy Living on Duke Street is to close. Owned by Kevin Connolly, a message on the health food’s store Facebook page announced it was with a “heavy heart” the business was to close.
“There had been many highs and lows over the years and I'm very grateful for all of it.
“Thank you to everyone who stepped into our little shop over the years, especially all our regular customers, I'll really miss you all.
“I have made many friends in Athy and in the health food industry.
"Lastly, Clare and Caroline and Eamonn, thanks for all your hard work and care you put into your job over many years.
"No words can really say how grateful I am to have worked with the 3 of you.”
The post sparked a bittersweet wave of good wishes and thank you from customers.
One posted: “We'll all miss coming in to the shop. We may be able to buy the products elsewhere but the service and advice you gave over the years can't be replicated.”
