Division 2 Football League

SETU Carlow 7-14 SETU Waterford 2-3

This division 2 Higher Education football league quarter-final at the Carlow Campus on Wednesday was a one-sided affair. Two goals from Oisin McGraynor and another through Adam Fanning were killer blows as the home side led 3-9 to 1-1 at the interval. Tom Fitzgerald was the Waterford goal scorer.

Further three-pointers in the final quarter from Sam Ryan and Luke O’Connor confirmed Carlow dominance and they finished the game with a flourish picking off scores at will.

Only for the bravery of Kyle Foley and agility, the Naomh Eoin and Carlow net-minder, the eventual winners could have brought their total of goals into double figures.
