South Kildare school seeks extension

South Kildare primary school, Scoil Íde Naofa in Kilmead, has applied to build a significant single-storey extension (468sqm) to the rear of the existing school.

It would encompass two new special needs classrooms, new toilets and boiler room.

Of the six new car parking spaces, one will be specifically for accessible parking, while the new grounds will have an external soft play area and a sensory garden.

A decision here is expected by Kildare planners before the end of June.
