Kildare TY students have the opportunity to learn more about a career in logistics

THE DEPARTMENT of Transport's official Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week 2025, starting Monday 31 March to Saturday 5 April, has an exciting ‘LogisTYcs’ event for Transition Year (TY) students in Kildare.

This free event will take place on Thursday 3 April at the Curragh Racecourse, Kildare, and will provide students with a fun and interactive learning experience with information on future career opportunities within supply chain and logistics. Schools will be able to register their interest online.

With a 52% increase in logistics-related higher education enrolments since 2019, interest in the sector is growing.

But workforce gaps remain in areas such as supply chain management, green skills and digital expertise, making the need for fresh talent and upskilling more urgent than ever.

Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week 2025 was designed to tackle these challenges and showcase the exciting opportunities within the sector, running events across Ireland.

This nationwide initiative will spotlight career opportunities, green and digital innovation, and Ireland’s leadership in creating sustainable, resilient supply chains.
