Uisce Éireann’s Shane Aylward has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore full water supply as quickly as possible.

“The repairs are being conducted as quickly and as efficiently as possible but are complex due to the location and size of the burst. We understand the inconvenience an unplanned interruption can have on our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible."

Repairs are expected to be completed later this afternoon; it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned interruption.
