In a high-scoring game played in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park, Klub Kildare came back from the death with two late goals to force a draw. In a dramatic finale, they could actually have snatched an unlikely winner.

Fielding a depleted side Klub Kildare got the perfect start as Jayden Parsons fired high into the net from eighteen yards after two minutes.

Finn Harps struck back with goals after fifteen minutes by Ryan Doherty and then went ahead after twenty seven minutes by Anton Crossan.

Adam Maher puled a goal back immediately – probably the best goal of the game as Klub Kildare played the ball between five players to leave Maher free and he coolly slotted home.

Finn Harps went ahead again with two quick goals.

Parsons, not for the first time this year, came to the rescue after 59 minutes and Zain Ali who had come on as a substitute got the equaliser in the 77th minute. With the momentum behind them, it was Klub Kildare pushing hardest for a winning goal in the final minutes but it didn't arrive and both teams settled for a draw in the end.

Special word of praise for Under 14 player Ryan Breslin who made his debut at under 17 and showed that he has the class and temperament to play at this level.

This under 14 game played in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park on Sunday morning proved to be a very entertaining game.

Klub Kildare opened the scoring after twenty six seconds as Hat trick hero Calvin Kelly Smith scored from a pass by Luigi Valente.

This early goal appeared to put Klub Kildare in a relaxed mood as they missed various chances in the first third. Luig Valente gave Klub Kildare the two goal advantage that they deserved when following great work down the wing by player of the match Calvin Kelly Smith he crossed for Luigi Valente to drill home between two defenders on the goaline.

Drogheda United pulled a goal back in the eighty seventh minute through Shea Lowney only for Calvin Smith Kelly to add two further goals in injury time to give Klub Kildare a well deserved victory and Calvin Kely Smith his hat trick.
