Klub Kildare made the trip up to the Carlisle to face Bray Wanderers in match day 3. Klub Kildare look to get first points on the board of the season while Bray were looking for a win after a good point against Shamrock Rovers last week. The game started lively with a high tempo with both teams finding each other out.
It was Klub Kildare’s Jayden Parsons who found Paul Abankwah that opened the scoring in this game with a close range shot at a difficult angle and put it in the back of the net. Klub Kildare hunted for a second but came of no luck as Brays tricky winger Taylor Butler who equalised for the home side. Kildare applied pressure and got rewarded as Cian Reilly put Kildare in front again five minutes from the break.
Klub Kildare went in at half time to expand their lead while Bray needed to work on finding a way to equalise yet again.
Klub Kildare brought in fresh legs at half time with Zane Ali and Carlsen Sadilua who replaced Paul Abankwah and Cian Downey. Kildare had the tip for second half and started strong but had nothing to show for it as Brays dangerous nine Promise Akinyemi put Bray back into game finding their equaliser.
Bray applied pressure again after the restart in the game and went in front in the game and put Kildare in a bad position by taking the lead. In the 65th minute Bray made a change with Conor Cunningham being replaced by Lewis Brady with Klub Kildare making a double change as Luca Smith and Adam Maher came in for Cian Reilly and Daniel Adamolekun.
Both teams subs came in and grew into the game quickly, but it was Klub Kildare who had the moment to equal the game once again and it was Jayden Parsons who put the ball in the back of the net yet with a composed finished.
With twenty minutes to go both teams put lots of pressure on each other to claim the winner as neither side looked to settle for a point but would try to take all three points.
Klub Kildare made their final change as Fionn Kirby replaced Lorcan Cronin and Karl Ralph came off for Kyle Jackson. Kyle Jackson put in a challenge onto Carlsen Sadilua and the referee gave a free kick to Klub Kildare ten yards from the halfway line in the Bray half. Freekick was played by Ethan Deegan to Carlsen who tried from a angle to put in a low driven pass into the box.
Unfortunately the cross was hooked by the Bray defenders and chased down by Bray’s Taylor Butler who burst down the line to beat Klub Kildare’s defender. He squared the ball to the penalty spot and found the inform Promise Akinyemi who smashed the ball into the back of the net to complete his hattrick and claim the three points for Bray in a seven-goal thriller.
