Athy announces the theme for 2026 St Patrick’s Day parade

THE TIME has come again for Athy to begin gearing up for its annual St Patrick’s Day parade – a big day in the Athy calendar.
Athy Town Promoters have chosen the theme for this year’s parade to be ‘Community Spirit’.
In a similar way to last year’s theme: ‘Pulling Together’, Athy Town Promoters wanted to create a theme which is inclusive and leaves room for creative ideas.
“This theme celebrates the people, groups, volunteers, clubs, businesses and organisations who make Athy such a vibrant and welcoming town,” said Athy Town Promoters.
“It recognises the everyday kindness, cooperation and pride that bring our communities together and help it thrive.”
“The 2026 parade will showcase the many ways community spirit is expressed across Athy and surrounds from sport and culture to youth groups, charities and local initiatives.”
Athy Town Promoters look forward to working with participants of all ages to create a meaningful celebration that truly reflects the heart of the community.
