COUNTY Kildare will be the venue for a series of Climate Action events at the end of this month, with free workshops, talks and experiences on offer to educate and inspire Kildare toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
Kildare Public Participation Network (PPN) is delighted to announce the return of its much-anticipated Climate Action Series for 2025, taking place from Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, May 24.
This year’s series will explore topics that matter to everyone, from reducing digital pollution and cutting household costs to biodiversity, fashion, and food, with sessions offering practical tools and real-life actions that participants can take home and apply in their daily lives.
Venues include Naas Library and Cultural Centre, Maynooth University, Maynooth Library, and Leixlip Library.
Some talks and workshops will focus on digital pollution and energy efficiency, sustainable fashion, sustainable money saving hacks, and climate-friendly food choices.
Other events include a guided DemoHouse tour in a fully retrofitted sustainable home in Maynooth’s Decarbonisation Zone and a biodiversity day at Maynooth University.
All events are free to attend, and registration is now open. Whether you're a seasoned environmentalist or just beginning your sustainability journey, there’s something in the series for everyone.
This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, gain new skills, and become part of a growing local movement for positive environmental change.
