Kildare secures over €120k for arts funding

Funding for arts grants is now open
KILDARE County Council’s Arts Service has announced funding under the Arts Grants 2024 scheme, to support creative and artistic projects in the county. The scheme will see grant aid of €121,249 awarded via 16 separate schemes to 76 projects which will take place across all five of Kildare’s Municipal Districts in 2024.
Included among the 16 awards are: the Arts in Education Bursary which places artists in schools across Co Kildare; the First Fortnight award which supports the development and presentation of new work promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing; the Research and Thinking Bursary, and the Tyrone Guthrie Residency Award which supports artists from all artforms, allowing them time to research and think about their arts practice or explore a new area within it, while accessing mentorship and networking opportunities.
In addition, Kildare County Council welcomed applications to the Kildare Short Grass Film Commission Award, Kildare Creative Ireland Bursary Awards 2024 and the Creative Ireland Cruinniú na nÓg Bursary Award 2024. Information on the projects funded under these awards will be published separately.
