NEWBRIDGE group St Conleth’s Pantomime Troupe presented its 2025 panto
which ran for five shows from Wednesday 19 to Saturday 22 February.
Many hands put the show together with a huge cast, including 97 children, working together to deliver an amazing show.
Director, Claire Regan, was delighted with the group’s “brilliant” performance.
She said: "It was a fabulous production. The crew had a great time, it was a real family event.”
She emphasised the unique quality of St Conleth's pantos: “There’s the panto and then there’s Newbridge panto. We have our own little twist.”

Claire highlighted the community that is St Conleth’s troupe, mentioning the many family and friends involved every year.
St Conleth’s group lives very close to h

er heart as it is where she met her husband, who proposed to her 12 years ago during a showing of Treasure Island.
“He proposed to me on stage and I was dressed as a leprechaun. I was shocked."

Although the group hosts many familiar faces, they are always welcome to new ones. Claire sang the praises of newcomers Kristina Kreslina who played the baddie Countess De Rochford in this year’s show, Charlie Flood who played Dartonian and Elizabeth Houlihan who played Queen Anne Marie.

The group presented its 83rd production this year. The group’s most loyal attendee 88-year-old Angela Whelan was celebrated and recognised for attending every panto, apart from one, since she was three years old.
