TO celebrate the St Brigid’s Day public holiday, PopUpArt Newbridge has been invited back to the Whitewater Shopping Centre to showcase its St Brigid’s Bank Holiday Community Art Exhibition for the weekend (1-3 February).

This community event is put together by an eclectic collective of local, Kildare-connected artists of all levels and genres who have come together to celebrate this very special St Brigid’s weekend with an exhibition showcasing some of the collective of artists.

“We are delighted to have our first exhibition of 2025 on this very special weekend in this amazing location and hope that all who visit it will enjoy the artwork and the sense of occasion for our very own St Brigid,” said Eilis Kavanagh on behalf of PopUpArt Newbridge.

This exhibition is free to all to view the work of this amazing collective of Kildare artists, and perhaps chat with the artists on duty, and maybe purchase something for themselves or the art lover in their life.

PopUpArt Newbridge is a totally voluntary, self-funding community-focused initiative. Its objective is to support and enable Kildare-connected artists and give them the opportunity to showcase their work to wider audiences than previously available to them. Since its inception in 2018, the collective has given over 300 local artists the forum to display their work.

“In addition to the walk-in exhibition, you can view this visual experience and details of the exhibiting local artists on our virtual online gallery – popupartnewbridge.com – if you can’t make it into the Whitewater,” explained Eilis.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters in this community exhibition, with specifically the management and team at the Whitewater Shopping Centre for inviting us back to exhibit in their wonderful space, and their continued support to art in the community,” she said.

“If you are interested in exhibiting with PopUpArt Newbridge for any of our forthcoming exhibitions, please email popupartnewbridge.com with your details and two visuals of your work – we look forward to hearing from you.”
