Athy church invites community for reopening
The newly renovated St Michael's Church, Athy
TO CELEBRATE the renovation and refurbishment of Athy’s St Michael’s Church, the community are invited to come and celebrate the newly improved space with an official opening church service.
Reverend Conor O’Reilly invites everyone from the local community to the event to share in the celebration of the new and improved church.
The celebration is set to take place on Sunday, September 14 at 3pm – joined by The Most Reverend Dr Michael Jackson, Archbishop of Dublin and Glendalough and complete with music and hymns from one of Ireland’s leading brass bands – The Stedfast Band.
A collection will take place during the mass in aid of the church refurbishment fund, which attendees are encouraged to donate to if they can.
The event will end with some refreshments in the local parish centre.
