Beloved Kildare woman celebrates 92nd birthday
Sarah Davis celebrates her 92nd birthday with her sister Nan Hopkins
Birthday wishes to Sarah Davis of Plewman’s Terrace who celebrated her 92nd birthday recently with her family at the Clanard Court Hotel.
Sarah worked for many years in the canteen in Tegral, and as a young apprentice electrician, this writer was often grateful for a bowl of her minestrone soup on a Friday morning after a night of youthful exuberance in the local ale houses.
Sarah was always good humoured, kind, quick witted and well able for the banter that went on in the canteen, putting many a smart alec in his place to the raucous delight of the assembled diners.
