Kildare businessman fondly remembered by local community

The late Michael Dunne

The village of Timolin and the road haulage community was shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Michael Dunne, Dunnes Haulage, Timolin last month.

Michael was known the length and breadth of the country for his extraordinary talent in transport management, his love of the road and for his reputation for hard work, dedication and reliability. He was energetic and charismatic, a great storyteller and was always willing to advise and help out in any way he could.

He will be forever remembered for his hearty laugh, unique salute, his determination and ability to get the job done and his pride in his work and his family. Michael is greatly missed by Eileen, his wife of 45 years, his daughters Orla, Audrey, Michelle and Laura, sons-in-law, Denis, David, Brian and Thomas, grandchildren Michael, Sophia, Rua, Elsie and Annalise, brothers, sisters, extended family, neighbours and friends.
