Kildare trio share €19,000 GAA jackpot

Tommy Farrell, Dermot Burke, and Moira Behan received their jackpot share
THREE joint winners of the Kilcullen GAA Lotto Jackpot were presented with their prize at a recent event in Nolan’s Butchers. €19,100 was shared between Tommy Farrell, Dermot Burke, and Moira Behan.
Apart from the fact that Nolan’s is a long-standing big supporter of Kilcullen GAA, there was another reason for the location of the prize-giving — staff member Johnny Lambe had sold the winning ticket to customer Tommy Farrell and to Nolan's colleague Dermot Burke. Pictured with them are Catherine Peacocke of Kilcullen GAA, the third winner Moira Behan from Cutbush and her husband Maurice (who bought the ticket in her name), and Pat Phibbs, vice-chairman of Kilcullen GAA. Ger Corcoran, not pictured, sold the Behan ticket.
The weekly Lotto Draw was reset the following Monday to a much smaller €1,000. But like the grass on the new Field of Dreams pitches, it will keep growing ... until some lucky winner cuts it again.
