Ukrainian high schoolers come to Athy
A GROUP of Ukrainian high schoolers have visited the Shackleton Experience in Athy this week (4 December).
Kildare County Council is supporting the unique cultural exchange programme between Maynooth Post Primary School and its partner school, Lyceum No 80 in Kyiv, Ukraine. As part of this initiative, a group of 14 Ukrainian students and two teachers are visiting Co Kildare from 1-10 December, hosted by the families of Maynooth Post Primary School students.
The council said the exchange underlines its commitment to fostering international friendship and educational development, features a programme of activities, the highlight of which was the group’s participation in the Shackleton Experience in Athy while also highlighting the importance of cultural diversity in the county.
