Kildare football in mourning after tragic death of former Lumsden Cup winning captain

Coill Dubh AFC and the wider local community are mourning the passing of former player TJ Moore, who died earlier today.
A striker with a tremendous eye for goal, Moore was a key figure on a during a hugely successful period for Coill Dubh, and will perhaps be best remembered for his role in helping the club become the first side in KDFL history to retain the prestigious Lumsden Cup.
Moore captained Coill Dubh to a 1-0 victory over Clane United in the 2010 final before playing another leading role 12 months later, scoring his side's opening goal in a dramatic 3-2 extra-time win over Naas United.
Tributes quickly began to appear on social media following news of his passing, with former teammates Eoghan Carew and Trevor McLoughlin among those remembering a popular and respected figure within local football circles.

Moore's death comes just days before this year's Lumsden Cup final, and his contribution to both Coill Dubh and Kildare football is certain to be remembered by many of those attending Sunday's decider between Kildare Town and Newbridge United.
