Kildare Rescue Tails: Dog festival at Palmerstown
Pawmerstown takes place on Saturday 6 June
THE KWWSPCA is delighted to be the chosen charity again this year for the 'PAWmerstown at the Manor' event, a family-friendly dog festival which will be held at the Palmerstown Estate, Johnstown on Saturday 6 June over two sessions.
The KWWSPCA will be organising Fun Dog Shows during each session of the event, which is open to every type of dog.
Pictured here at a promo photoshoot are two of our volunteers accompanied by rescue dogs Dexter and puppy Rocky, both of whom have been rehomed. Beyond the show ring, the festival promises a lively and engaging programme, with a wide variety of stalls, enclosed off-lead areas for both small and larger dogs, providing a safe and enjoyable space where they can run freely and socialise, and an opportunity to connect with fellow dog lovers in a friendly and informal setting.
Given the strong interest in last year’s event, demand is expected to be high once more.
Those hoping to attend are encouraged to book their tickets in advance via www.followfoxevents.ie/pawmerstown to ensure they don’t miss out on what promises to be a great day out for you, your family and your dog.
We feature Dottie this week as our dog in need of a home. Dottie is a 4-year-old collie with very unusual colouring.
She is placid and patient, loves her walks and all the attention from our volunteers. Still a little nervous, she is finding her feet, and we’d like her now to find an active home as collies thrive on exercise and stimulation. All her details and photographs are on our website www.kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog.
Thank you to all who supported us recently at Russborough House where we attended the RHSI Garden Show. We had a great day, and our fun dog show proved to be a hit with the attendees.
