Kildare Rescue Tails: Jess would love a quiet home
Jess
THE KWWSPCA is anxious to find a permanent foster home for the lovely Jess. She is an eight-year-old female lurcher who is a quiet and gentle girl. She gets on well with other dogs, is a good walker, travels well by car and is toilet-trained but with the odd accident (which may be age-related).
Jess needs a quiet home where she can feel relaxed and where she'll have company for the most part of her day.

A farm or a home with plenty of garden space would be ideal as she is enjoying the outdoor country life Owing to some initial health concerns when she came into our care, Jess is in a temporary foster home for the past few months rather than residing at our Shelter.
She is much improved now and her anxiety which had caused breathing struggles seems to have passed. Even though she can sometimes regurgitate her food she has still managed to put on a few kilos of weight and the Vet has advised to feed her small amounts at a time. Her skin has really cleared up and she is in great form.
She is so friendly that she will jump up on everyone she meets, particularly if they are eating or drinking!
She is a clever girl, once managing to steal a lady's purse from her unattended bag, and likes to run in an open space. In light of her health concerns, we are happy to place Jess in permanent fostering for the rest of her life.
The KWWSPCA would continue providing for her medical needs during her lifetime as long as her permanent fosterer looked after her daily needs and comforts. Jess cannot be neutered on veterinary advice but she is microchipped 972274200604789 and vaccinated.
Full details are available on the ‘adopt a dog’ section of our website www.kwwspca.ie.
The little black pup pictured here is Gideon who was very recently adopted from us. Gideon saw all his litter brothers and sisters leave before him but, following some veterinary attention, it was his turn to leave us.
His new big sister, Faye, seems to be very taken with this gorgeous puppy and has taken her new role quite seriously.
He has the new name of Ozzy and hopefully a fabulous life ahead of him. We encourage those considering adding a dog to their family not to overlook Animal Rescues all over the country who are well stocked!
