The beautiful Ethel is one of the guests of honour on the day
The KWWSPCA annual Wag & Bone Dog Show is just around the corner, taking place on Sunday 6 September at Punchestown Racecourse in Naas. This popular event offers a great opportunity for families and dog lovers to enjoy a fun day out, and the dog comes too!
Alongside the dog show, which will include classes for every type of dog, our Noah’s Ark charity shop will have a stall selling a selection of items for your pet. There will be face painting for the children and our very talented artist, Lisa, will be doing her wonderful pet portraits.
The KWWSPCA will also have an information stand where you can chat to volunteers and learn more about our society and how you can get involved.
We are delighted that Naas Veterinary Clinic will be joining us at the event this year and will offer a subsidised microchipping service for just €15 per dog.
Light refreshments will be available on the day and there is plenty of free parking at the venue. Registration is from 1pm and the show starts at 2pm.
There will be a few guests of honour present on the day in the shape of some current KWWSPCA rescue dogs who will be coming along to say hello and join in with the fun, along with many of our past rescue dogs and their families. One such guest will be the lovely Ethel, a beautiful black greyhound who is searching for her forever home. This quiet but sociable lady has stolen the hearts of several volunteers at the shelter with her gentle presence and calm aura. Ethel is looking forward to meeting lots of you there!
