Alistair & Bridget win Best Dressed award 

A Kildare couple took the sartorial honours winning the Best Dressed Couple winning the Down Royal Racecourse on Saturday.

Alistair and Bridget Hamill from Castledermot impressed the judges with their effortlessly coordinated look, elegance, and sartorial flair, securing the top spot, on Ladies Day at the BoyleSports Summer Festival of Racing Fashion and racing came together in spectacular style at Down Royal Racecourse on Saturday 21st June, as Ladies Day at the BoyleSports Summer Festival of Racing delivered a dazzling display of colour, couture and competition. in the newly introduced Best Dressed Couple category, proudly supported by Lough Erne Resort.

The competition was supported by Lough Erne Resort and their prize includes an indulgent two-night stay in a Lakeside Suite, a five-course dinner in the award-winning Catalina Restaurant, a 60-minute spa treatment each in The Thai Spa, a round of golf on the championship Faldo Course, daily lakeside breakfasts and full access to the infinity pool – the perfect reward for a pair dressed to impress.

While the couple’s win turned heads, Faith Amond from County Carlow was crowned Best Dressed Lady, Faith’s show-stopping look impressed the judges with its elegance, originality and attention to detail. Her winning outfit featured a skirt from Emporium Kalu, Jacket by Irish designer Roisin Linnane, headpiece from Elite in Warrenpoint, bag from Roisin Antica found in a local charity shop and shoes from LK Bennett. She walks away with a £3,000 voucher from Younique Aesthetics Clinic to be used at any of their Belfast, Holywood or Newry clinics.

In the newly introduced Best Dressed Man category, Robert McGrath stood out from the crowd with sharp tailoring and standout accessories, earning him a made-to-order outfit from Freddie Hatchet, including a 3-piece suit, shirt, tie and pocket square, shoes and accessories – the ultimate prize for the modern gentleman.

The judging panel – made up of Áine Larkin, Clinical Director at Younique Aesthetics Clinic, Rebecca McKinney, Cool FM presenter and fashion commentator, and Gemma Garrett, make-up artist and media personality – praised the incredible standard of entries across all three categories.
