Lattin Place in Naas

Kildare County Council has announced the launch of an affordable housing purchase scheme in Naas.

This initiative at Lattin Place on the Rathasker Road offers an opportunity for private buyers to purchase one of eight newly built homes, aimed at first-time buyers and other eligible homebuyers.

The scheme includes three two-bedroom and five three-bedroom dwellings, all conveniently located just minutes from Naas town centre and its local amenities, with easy access to the M7 and transport links to Dublin city centre.

The homes are expected to be ready for occupation by autumn 2025.

The Affordable Housing Purchase Scheme is designed to support individuals in buying new homes at reduced prices. The online application process will open for applications at 9am on Wednesday 28 May, and will remain open until 5.30pm on Friday 20 June. The scheme is aimed at first-time buyers, with some exceptions.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the application process and required documentation available on the council’s website.

The scheme makes local homes available at a reduced price for first-time buyers, and fresh start applicants, whose combined mortgage and deposit will not cover the market price of the newly built home. Through the scheme, Kildare County Council takes a percentage equity stake in the home equal to the difference between the open market value of the property and the reduced price paid by the purchaser.
