The DISABILITY Show, held on Thursday, 7 May at Curragh Racecourse, has been hailed as a tremendous success, attracting large crowds and bringing together organisations, exhibitors, families, carers, and members of the disability community from across Ireland.

The event created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where visitors had the opportunity to explore a wide range of supports, services, products, and innovations designed to improve everyday life and promote greater independence and inclusion.

Exhibitors from across the country showcased services covering healthcare, rehabilitation, accessible transport, mobility equipment, tourism, education supports, sports opportunities, homecare, and advocacy.
Feedback from the show lauded its positive energy, valuable information, and the opportunity to connect directly with organisations making a real difference in communities nationwide.

Among the organisations represented on the day were Irish Wheelchair Association, Irish Rail, Family Carers Ireland, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Tipperary Branch, Freedom Scooters, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland, The Marie Keating Foundation, and many more dedicated support groups and service providers.
Visitors described the event as informative, inspiring, and empowering, with many highlighting the importance of having so many resources available in one location.

Organisers said they were delighted with the turnout and the overwhelming support received from exhibitors, partners, and the public.
“What began as an idea has grown into an important national event that brings people together through inclusion, opportunity, and awareness,” a spokesperson said.

“The response this year exceeded expectations, and it was wonderful to see so many meaningful conversations and connections taking place throughout the day.” The success of the event further highlighted the growing importance of accessible services and inclusive community initiatives throughout Ireland.

Following the positive response to this year’s event, organisers (Guerin Media) have already confirmed that the next Disability Show, will be held at the Dexcom Stadium Galway and will take place on Wednesday 23 September, with anticipation already building for another inspiring and impactful event.
