Driver caught speeding on M4 in North Kildare with no licence or insurance

GARDAÍ in the Naas Roads Policing Unit detected a vehicle travelling at 156km/h during speed checks on the M4 in North Kildare.
Further investigation revealed the driver didn’t have valid driving licence or motor insurance.
An on-the-spot Fixed Charge Penalty Notice was issued for speeding, while a court appearance is now pending in relation to the insurance and licence offences.
Gardaí have reminded motorists that speeding and driving without insurance are serious offences that endanger all road users, urging the public to drive responsibly and obey the law.
A garda spokesperson said: “Speeding and uninsured driving are serious offences. They endanger all road users. Drive responsibly – obey the law.”
