Gardaí arrested over 25 people in Kildare for driving under the influence in a week

Gardaí in Kildare arrested over 25 people for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs over the past week.
Kildare gardaí announced that 27 motorists were arrested for the offences on their social media page.
In one startling case, the driver was almost seven times ove the legal limit.
In one alarming case, a motorist arrested in Naas was found to be almost seven times over the legal limit for alcohol.
Gardaí said: “An Garda Síochána Kildare are continuing to remind the public of the serious consequences of intoxicated driving, which include: disqualification from driving; fines of up to €5,000; imprisonment for up tIn the past week.” Separately, gardaí have seized 43 vehicles for drivers who had no insurance, no tax, no NCT, were unaccompanied learners or disqualified drivers.
